Captain’s Log. Diaper Date 2654. Daddy Chronicles. Making it to Break:
I have neglected my beloved blog out of necessity for the last two days. I am in peril. The Captain might not make it to break.
The children are weary, sick, and cranky. They might make it to Santa’s Naughty list after all. We still love them, but the impending mutiny is ripe with promise.
Between grading, impeding mutiny, and pet issues, I am stretched thin. So I do what I can. I laugh. I make coffee. And I move the Elf.
I’m thinking of adding Grand Elf Engineer to my resume. Not sure how that would go over.
Today the Elf, Jingle Bells, procured the little used sailboat that belongs to Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Destructo Junior demanded that the Elf relinquish possession of the skiff and started to climb the bookshelf with the intention of forcibly removing said vehicle from The Santa liaison. While holding an empty wrapping paper tube and shaking it in the Elf’s general direction.
This is what I’m dealing with.
Well, I must go as it is nearly time to depart for our respective educational endeavors.
Hope you, dear reader, are having a great day.
That’s all for now…Captain out.
