I have partnered with Life of Dad and Lee for this promotion.Though I have been compensated for this post, my words, thoughts, and pants are all my own.
Flexibility. It is one of the main prerequisites of being a middle school teacher. You need it. Your students need it. And, honestly, our clothes need it too.
There is a day in particular that I wish I had had Lee’s X-Treme Comfort Khakis. That was the day that I split my pants in front of my class. Yep, you read that right – I split my pants in front of about 30 students. The best part? They didn’t know.
You see the kids heard that I could nail a double toe touch, and, being a man of my size, they found this to be impossible. So, in my dress slacks, button down, and tie – I executed a perfect touch toe touch in front of my class. At the apex of the jump I heard the sound of fabric surrendering to the violent tug of an athletic feat.
And then I felt a rush of air.
I was fortunate. I completed the jump in the front corner of the room and my backside was facing a wall. The students never saw the rip – it may have scarred them for life. Instead they called for an encore. Knowing the state of my pants, and hoping to protect that embarrassing fact from my students, I feigned a hamstring injury, gave a reading assignment and walked (with my back to the wall) back to my desk. I wrapped a sweater around my waist and taught for 4 periods in a pair of ripped pants. And my students never knew.
When I first tried on a pair of the Lee X-Treme Khakis, the first thing I noticed was how light they were. Then I noticed how stretchy they were. Then I noticed just how fashionable they were. They feel like athletic pants, perform like athletic pants, but look like dress pants. And that is the #LeeEdge. Work to play versatility, the combination of style and athletic performance, a flex waistband, Active Comfort Fabric, and the classic khaki look.
Naturally, I had to put them to the test. Not only did I nail the double touch toe, but I was able to repeat the feat, and my pants never felt like they were under duress.
But don’t take my word for it. Lee joined us in Washington, D.C. and shot some footage of my friends wearing the pants and talking about their versatility as fathers and the necessity of having pants that accomodate all the different roles we play.
So whether you are working in the office, watching some NCAA tournament ball with friends, chasing the kids, or nailing a double toe touch when your team wins – the Lee X-Treme Comfort Khakis are an essential part of your daily uniform.
