The World Cup is finally here. I am personally looking forward to cheering on The U.S. soccer team on Monday with the kids.
Last time we talked about sharing our love of the game. Today? We are talking snacks!
As a new Soccer Dad, I am still learning about the right snacks during, or after, my daughter’a soccer matches. But what about the right snack for watching a game from the comfort of your own home?
Thankfully, I do not have to enter this endeavor on my own. Since the makers of some of my favorite snacks ( OREO, RITZ, Trident, Honey Maid and Sour Patch Kids) have teamed up with U.S. Soccer – they have put together an extensive list of great soccer themed snacks!
There are some great choices – from Oreo Soccer Cookie Balls to Chips Ahoy Chocolate Fruit Pizza! There’s a little something for all tastes.
The dish I’m going to try out though…Easy Pan O’ S’mores. The prep time is minimal, the cooking time is short, and the reward is tasty. How do you do it? It’s as simple as kicking into an empty goal:
Prep Time: 10 min
Total Time: 21 min
Makes: 18 servingsWhat You Need:
9 HONEY MAID Honey Grahams, broken crosswise in half (18 squares), divided
36 marshmallows, halved, divided
1-1/2 pkg. (4 oz. each) semi-sweet baking chocolate (6 oz.), choppedMake It
Heat oven to 350°F.
Place 9 graham squares on bottom of 8-inch square pan. Top with 36 marshmallow halves; sprinkle with chocolate. Cover with remaining graham squares.
Arrange 4 marshmallow halves, cut sides down, on top of each graham square.
Bake 9 to 11 min. or until marshmallows are puffed and golden brown. Let stand 5 min.
And that’s it. Minimal work – maximum taste. Which snack would you pick?
It is my pleasure to work with the Pass the Love program. I have been compensated by Mondelēz International for this post, but my words and thoughts are my own.
I’d try the Chios Ahoy fruit pizza because I love fruit and Chips Ahoy! USA! USA! USA!
Good Choice!
