No Cart Before The Storm

There are few things that stop me in my tracks. This scene was one of them:

There were no carts. None. It was a sign that people had interpreted a sign of the Apocalypse…and decided, as my wife likes to say, to go buy French toast- milk, bread, and eggs.

Yes, we were supposed to get weather. No, it wasn’t that bad. And, yes, I stood in line, in the EXPRESS LANE, for 20 minutes.

Don’t tell anyone, but I may have had a few more than 12 items in my basket. I figured it wasn’t my fault since I couldn’t put my items in a cart to count…

So do you go French Toast shopping before storms? Or do you avoid them like the plague before “the plague”?

That’s all I’ve got for now…Captain out.
